Living with cancer is a team effort

Living with cancer is a team effort

December 4, 2010, 4:33 pm

There were many occasions when I was tempted to give up during the 6 years since my cancer diagnosis. Finding motivation over and over again is one of the most difficult tasks. To expect that my surgeons, oncologists, nurses, my husband or my parents would take over the burden and responsibility for my fight would be pure foolishness.

What makes me to continue, however depressed, tired and scared I am, is the knowledge, that I have an excellent team around me.

The team consists of some doctors, some family members and a few friends, and they are updated on ALL the developments concerning my life and my disease. They are always prepared to help. It is up to me to ask.
