In September 2004 my life took an unforeseen direction. I was diagnosed with a rare type of an untreatable cancer, synovial sarcoma. Since the diagnosis I have gone through 12 radical surgeries, 18 months of chemotherapy treatment and some 80 radiotherapy sessions, and I became part of a new world, the sarcoma world. Sarcomas are cancers of the bone, muscle, fat, blood vessels, and other supporting tissue of the body, including synovial tissue.
